Clear the archive flag:
View menu -> Options -> Backup -> General
tab
If you have a tape backup system that is
also backing up the selected data you may
not want this software to clear the archive
flags (if the tape system is set for
incrimental or differential backups it may
skip desired files). In this case, uncheck
Clear the archive flag on files that
are backed up.
Note: The above configuration assumes
that your internet data backup will complete
before the tape backup starts. Depending on
the size of your data, you should schedule
your internet backup to run one or more
hours before your tape backup starts.
If you run "full backups" with your tape
system, then you do not need to uncheck the
Clear Archive Flag box.
Deselecting this option will result in
transmitting previously stored and unchanged
files to the remote server multiple times.
Generally we do not recommend deselecting
this option because it results in backing up
files multiple times.
Send deleted file lists:
View menu -> Options -> Backup -> General
tab
Check Send deleted file lists to the
Backup Server if you want files
that you subsequently remove from the backup
set to be immediately deleted from the
remote Backup Server. Otherwise, the files
will be removed when your backup time window
(e.g., one month) passes. Selecting this
option can help to reduce the amount of file
storage used on the remote Backup Server;
however, it also means that you
won't be able to recover files that were
deleted by accident.
*Note: We recommend NOT selecting the
"Send deleted file lists to the Backup
Server" option as it may result in the
inability to recover accidentally deleted
files.
